Depart from your hometown - Tokyo
Today, you will broad your transpacific flight to Tokyo, the capital city of Japan.

Arrive Tokyo
Upon arrive at Tokyo's Narita Airport. You are met and greeted and transferred via shuttle bus to your luxury accommodations. The rest of the day is free at leisure.

3 |
Tokyo (B)
Your discovery of Japan begins as you take a half-day city tour of Tokyo. Drive by the picturesque Imperial Palace, home to the emperor and his royal family (we aren't allowed inside the gates). Continue on to the Asakusa Kannon Temple, the oldest temple in Tokyo that was built to house the statue of the Goddess of Mercy. Take an elevator up to the observation deck atop Tokyo Tower where you are presented with a panoramic view of this sprawling metropolis. The tour ends in Ginza where you are given time to experience shopping at the most expensive real estate in all of Japan. Afternoon you will free for leisure.

Tokyo (B)
A full day has been provided for you to explore Tokyo at your own pace. The advanced subway system affords easy access to the entire city, and Tokyo is a sprawling metropolis just begging to be explored.

Tokyo - Mt. Fuji - Hakone (B, L)
A most event-filled day begins, as we journey by motor coach to see Mt. Fuji. We stop at either Mt. Fuji 5th Station or Mt. Fuji Museum (depending on weather conditions) to marvel at its spectacular cloud-shrouded peak rising proudly into the sky. Nt Fuji is a symbol of national pride. Continue on to Hakone where we take a cruise on Lake Ashi before settling in for the evening.

Hakone - Kyoto (B, L, DS)
Located within driving distance of Tokyo, Hakone is one of Japan's most popular weekend spa getaways. Experience firsthand the beautiful natural hot springs that bless this area. Later we depart Hakone and board the "Shinkansen," or bullet train, at Odawara Station. Kyoto was the capital of Japan until the Shogun Tokugawa moved it to "Edo," or Tokyo. An afternoon city tour includes visits to Kyomizu Temple, Kinkakuji Temple, and the Heian Shrine. In the evening, enjoy a Japanese dinner while enjoying a special cultural dance performed by "Maiko."

Kyoto is a city that keeps the old culture of Japan alive. Spend the day exploring this historical town on your own.

Kyoto - Osaka - USA (B)
Journey by motor coach to Osaka where you will board your homebound flight to the USA or extend your tour to explore more of fascinating Asia.
