Featured Excursions: Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, the Lama Temple HuTong Pedi cab Tour
After breakfast, start your visit to China with a visit to the world’s largest public square, Tiananmen Square. Next you will walk to The Forbidden City, the palace home of the Ming and Qing Dynasty Emperors for over 500 years. After lunch, visit the Lama Temple. The Yonghe Lamasery is the largest and best preserved lamasery outside of Tibet. Then take the HuTong tour, a Pedi cab tour through the ancient streets and courtyards of Beijing. This evening enjoy a welcome banquet featuring a traditional Beijing Roast Duck dinner.

Today’s highlight is an excursion to the Great Wall, an astonishing feat of engineering and one of World Heritages listed by UNESCO. This afternoon pass by the Olympic Site and visit The Summer Palace, the largest and best-preserved imperial garden in China. The initial construction of the Summer Palace was started in 1750, commissioned by Emperor Qinglong as a gift for his mother’s
birthday. Tonight after dinner, enjoy your Acrobatics Show or the amazing show, “ Legend of Kung Fu”.

After breakfast, visit the Temple of heaven, After breakfast, visit the Temple of Heaven, where the emperors came to pray for a good harvest. After lunch, board a flight to Xi’an, a historic city, which has been the capital of China for 13 of China’s imperial dynasties. Enjoy an afternoon city tour to the Ancient City Wall and The Big Wild Goose Pagoda, which was built in 652 during the Tang Dynasty. Today’s special meals include an Imperial Dumpling Banquet and Tang Dynasty Dinner opera show, performing the original music and dancing of the Tang Dynasty. Early this morning visit the Panda Breeding Center, The pandas are active in the morning and you will have the option to donate money to the Center in exchange for holding a baby panda. Next drive to Sanxingdui Museum, to see a mysterious 5,000 year old civilization recently unearthed that defies description. Later visit one of Chengdu’s famous traditional tea houses.

Drive 5 hours to Dazu. After lunch, visit The Beshan Buddhist Stone Statures, This is one of the great sites in the world for viewing Buddhist art with over 10,000 statues carved over a 1,000 year period in more than 250 caves. A UNESCO World Heritage site. Accommodations at best local hotel 3*.
