After breakfast, we start visit to the world's largest public square - Tiananmen Square. Then, proceed to Forbidden City, the palace home for the Ming and Qing Dynasty Emperors for over 500 years. After lunch, visit the HuTong tour and Wang Fu Jing Street. This evening enjoy a welcome banquet featuring the traditional Beijing Roast Duck dinner.

Enjoy your highlights today is an excursion to the Great Wall, an astonishing feat of engineering and one of World Heritages listed by UNESCO. Thisafternoon, visit to Summer Palace, the largest and best-preserved imperial garden in China. The initial construction of the Summer Palace was started in 1750, commissioned by Emperor Qinglong as a gift for his mother's birthday. Enjoy your Acrobatics Show or amazing show, "Legend of Kung Fu".

Board a afternoon flight to Yichang, the economic and cultural center of the western Hubei Province. Upon arrival, you will be met by Asia Journeys' local guide and transferred to the docks where the
Orient Royal Cruise or Victoria Cruise ship awaits your arrival.

Stop at San Dou Ping this morning to see the historic Three Gorges Dam project. Reboard the ship and sail through the dramatic Three Gorges Ship lock before continuing through Xiling Gorge, longest of the famed Three Gorges.

Early this morning, delight in Wu Gorge's deep zigzagging valley. At Wushan, transfer to a motorboat for an exciting excursion on either Daning River or Shennong Stream to view their breathtaking small gorges. Reboard the ship and soon pass through the dramatic grandeur of Qutang Gorge, framed by steep cliffs.

Today's shore excursion shows the magnificent 12-story wooden pagoda known as the "Pearl of the Yangtze" in scenic Shibaozhai.

Disembark Chongqing - Zigong - Chengdu (AB/L/D)
Your Yangtze River adventure is at an end, as the ship pulls into the docks at Chongqing. After a lunch of local spicy Sichuan fare, we head to Chengdu. Along the way, stop in Zigong for a
short visit to the Dinosaur Museum, a famous site of dinosaur fossils and also the Salt History Museum to learn how the people make salt in the traditional way. Continue to Chengdu for dinner.

In the early morning, drive to the Panda Research Center on the outskirts of Chengdu. You will have the option of holding a panda (for an additional donation). In the afternoon, visit The Thatched Cottage and the tea gardens of the famous Chinese poet Du Fu and visit the most famous temple in Chengdu, Wuhou Temple. After dinner we recommend that you attend the optional Sichuan Opera.

Chengdu - Shanghai (AB/L/D)
This morning check out of your hotel and transfer to airport for departure flight to Shanghai, the amazing multi-cultural metropolis combining the East and the West cultures. Upon arrival, you will be met by Asia Journeys' local guide and visiting the Bund and Nanjing Road. Then visit to Yu Garden and Old Shanghai Bazaar.

Your sightseeing starts at the Shanghai Museum which houses 120,000 cultural artifacts. The highlights of this exhibit include bronze ware, pottery porcelain ware, paintings and invaluable calligraphy works. This afternoon is free for shopping, extra sightseeing or just relaxing.
